Reggie Watts plays a rare UK show, Sean Morley headlines XS Malarkey, and there’s a bonus night out at the Frog on Bank Holiday Sunday.
Speaking of alternative comedy, there doesn’t come much more iconic than Reggie Watts. The man who made the soundtrack for Comedy Bang Bang and for years delighted the airwaves and stages with his loop pedal, incredible pipes and ability to make any mundane sentence both hilarious and soulful at the same time. More recently, he is probably better known as James Corden’s band leader on his version of The Late Late Show, but it’s live on stage where Reggie Watts truly comes to life.
With the Bank Holiday on Monday, The Frog & Bucket are taking full advantage by having an extra night of stand-up at the iconic venue. And what a lineup they have in store, with Taskmaster star Phil Ellis, award-winning comic Nina Gilligan and rising stars Gareth Mutch and John Meagher. A great way to round out the week and celebrate the next day’s holiday.

After a brief time in the Netherlands, galaxy-brained comic Sean Morley has returned, and he’s working on some new brilliantly offbeat comedy. Forever at the vanguard of whatever ‘alternative comedy’ means, Morley is in the midst of building a new game for a live show. Will he present that here? Who knows. But what we do know is that a Sean Morley show is one to be present at as it’s always a surprise and 99% for good.
