Derelict Stockport pub to reopen following £1m regeneration project

A derelict Stockport pub, which has stood empty for over two and a half years, is to be brought back to life in a £1 million revival project.

The Golden Hind in Offerton has been purchased by Joseph Holt, with the Manchester-based brewery committing to a seven-figure investment as it seeks to create a ‘traditional pub and lively hub for the entire community and beyond’.

The Lisburne Lane venue closed in November 2023 after 56 years of trading.

That`s why we are investing over £1 million in a comprehensive and carefully considered redevelopment, creating a pub in the truest traditional sense — complete with open fireplaces, generous outdoor spaces, and comfortable, characterful furnishings.”
