This June, French contemporary circus company Cie Modo Grosso brings a visually arresting meditation on time, movement and the fragile poetry of everyday objects to Lowry.

Created by performer and director Alexis Rouvre, Tout/Rien transforms simple materials including chains, stones and knitted forms into an intricate choreographic landscape where rhythm and suspension become tools for exploring the passage of time. Drawing inspiration from astrophysicist Carlo Rovelli’s theories on time and gravity, Rouvre subverts juggling as a form from spectacle to sensation, reimagining how time is perceived, felt and fleetingly held.

Blending physical theatre and contemporary circus, the production unfolds through a series of hypnotic visual sequences in which hanging objects sway, tumble and collide with precision and humour. Equal parts installation, performance and moving sculpture, the work offers a tranquil yet evocative experience with a beguiling philosophical examination of impermanence beneath its surface.
