For years now, neighbourhoods in Moss Side and the surrounding area have been transforming alleyways into beautiful green spaces.
By utilising everyday, often fly-tipped items like bath tubs, pallets, fridges and more, residents have created a unique mix of alleyway container gardens for communities to enjoy.

On Sun 14 Jun, Moss Side Open Alleys invites all on a tour through a selection of these spaces, aiming to inspire others to start their own community green space.

Maps will be available to purchase for £5 (accompanied under-16s go free) from 11am – 3pm at Platt Field Market Garden.
All proceeds from the day will go to the work that Boiler House charity does for the area. Boiler House runs a variety of community workshops, providing skills for employment, improving health and wellbeing, developing a circular economy, and promoting gender and race equality.
