This month, Chorlton’s beloved arts hub The Edge launches an all-new series of live music nights featuring an eclectic mix of jazz, folk, soul, themed album evenings and more, with twice-weekly shows taking over its cosy Dressing Room Bar.

Taking place on select Monday and Wednesday evenings from 8pm, the free nights will showcase an array of local musicians performing in an intimate setting, with the bar on hand serving snacks, soft drinks, and a full selection of alcoholic options including newly available draught beers.

Kicking things off on Mon 15 Jun, Manchester jazz stalwart Bim Williams presents organ-led outfit Trio SKW, with Lucas Kelley on the organ and Josh Savage on drums joining Bim on guitar.

On Wed 15 Jul, a performing trio breathes new life into David Bowie’s seminal 1971 album Hunky Dory, performed in its entirety alongside a selection of further Bowie favourites, promising a unique, stripped-back reimagining of a landmark rock record.
