Some of the world’s best padel players are set to face off in Manchester next week…and tickets are completely free.
Hosted at Manchester Padel Club by Sci-Mx, a Manchester-based science-driven sports nutrition brand, the two-day competition will see twenty world-class stars of the sport going head-to-head on Mon 10 Aug and Tue 11 Aug from 12pm-5pm.
The packed lineup includes men’s No.1 Agustín Tapia, women’s No.1 Delfina Senesi, UK No.1 Christian Medina Murphy, and many more. ITV World Cup commentator Sam Matterface will also be returning to the microphone for the tournament.
Two exhibition matches will take place each day from 3.30pm-5pm, giving fans the chance to see elite players team up in unique pairings and take on fellow top-tier talent.
On Monday, Tapia and world No. 3 Federico Chingotto will join forces to take on Javi Garrido and Tolito Aguirre in a blockbuster clash, while Tuesday sees Murphy team up with Lucas Bergamini to face the pairing of Senesi and Mario Ortega. Additional exhibition matches featuring some of the game’s biggest names will be taking place throughout the event.

Sandy Chadha, CEO of Supreme PLC, owners of Sci-Mx, said: “This is a massive coup for the Manchester Padel community, we are bringing in top class talent to the region and throwing the doors open for fans to enjoy two unforgettable days of world-class padel.
“It was important to me that this event was accessible to all fans, whether you’re a first-timer or play every week, the aim is to bring everyone together inside this state-of-the-art facility to watch the best players from across the globe face off in my hometown.”
Sci-Mx has also partnered with The Padel Foundation, a charity set up by professional GB player Nikhil Mohindra, to break down barriers and bring padel to communities across the UK that need it most, raising much-needed funds throughout the event.
Nikhil Mohindra, Chairman, The Padel Foundation, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with SCI-MX for this event. At The Padel Foundation, our mission is to make padel accessible to everyone, regardless of background or ability, and it’s fantastic to work alongside a brand that shares our passion for helping people live healthier, more active lives. Together, we hope this event inspires more people to get involved in sport, build confidence, and experience the positive impact that an active lifestyle can have on both physical and mental wellbeing.”
