Andrew Mensah and Gbemi Oladipo bring their hit show We Saw That to Creatures, Chris Stokes is at XS Malarkey, and Title Fight returns in our picks of this week’s best comedy to catch in Manchester.
Returning soldiers from the frontlines of the Fringe, Paul Campbell and Joe Kent-Walters head to Fairfield Social Club for Title Fight to kick off their post-Edinburgh world. The alternative comedy battle will also feature Jain Edwards, Jo Owen, and David Stanier, as well as your host Jack Nicholls and “ring girls” sketch duo Nose.
Andrew Mensah and Gbemi Oladipo bring their viral smash and sold-out London show We Saw That to Creatures Comedy Club as part of a UK tour. The crowd work show from two of the best comes to Manchester for the first time; although both performances are sold out, there is a waiting list, and we suggest you join it. Better still, show up on the day and pray for no-shows, as though the clips on reels are hilarious, it’s even more electric live.

While much of comedy has been away for August as stand-ups ply their trade up in the Scottish capital, XS Malarkey have kept the home fires burning with a stellar run of Tuesday night shows. And this week is no different as they welcome back award-winning comedian, writer and podcaster Chris Stokes for an evening of mirth to kick off September.
