Award-winning indie bookshop Simply Books is bringing a night with Matt King, AKA Super Hans, to Stockport this autumn.

Taking over the recently refurbished Armoury pub on Tue 6 Sep, attendees will get to meet Hans, grab a signed copy of his autobiography, and, most importantly, finally find out what happened to the twins.

Equal parts riotous comedy, bizarre philosophy guide, unreliable travelogue and strangely heartfelt memoir, the ‘mostly true’ Moreish blurb reads:

“Now, for the first time ever, Super Hans tells his own story – no filter, no agenda, just 100% pure, distilled Hans. From his early days brewing home-fermented insanity to fronting the greatest band that never was, to performing at actual Glastonbury, this book is the hilarious, trippy and occasionally baffling life story of Super Hans, in his own words, even though he can’t quite remember all the details.”

The event marks the opening of Prologue’s debut season, a new bookshop-cocktail bar-coffee shop hybrid from the Simply Books team that’s set to open soon at Stockport’s Weir Mill development.

Tickets are priced at £20 and include a copy of King’s new book, as well as the chance to meet Hans himself.
