The world is currently on fire; we might as well laugh while it burns. Or at least that’s the rationale of Stuart Goldsmith and his latest climate crisis comedy show, Canary, coming to Fairfield Social Club on Friday. Known primarily as the host of his incredibly popular podcast The Comedian’s Comedian, Goldsmith has carved out an incredible niche of hilarious and hopeful dissection of what can be done to avert the apocalypse.
No one pitches righteous fire quite like Nish Kumar. His latest show, Angry Humour From A Really Nice Guy, hits both of those claims nicely and is another feather in the cap of the nation’s best peddler of satire. Nish is at his furious best in this hour on the state of the world, and it really is in a state, but, like Goldsmith, Kumar is here to guide us through the mire. Brilliant, merciless, important stuff as usual. A must-see.
