Club de Padel will make a blockbuster return to Manchester with plans for a new five-court venue at Mayfield Park, bringing a dedicated padel club to the city centre development.

The proposed club would feature five courts alongside changing facilities, a café and social spaces, creating a new destination for one of the UK’s fastest-growing sports. The Mayfield site is expected to form part of the wider transformation of the former railway depot and surrounding parkland into one of Manchester’s major new leisure and residential neighbourhoods, currently home to both The Warehouse Project and Freight Island.

Club de Padel previously operated a venue in Trafford, and the new plans mark a return to the city following its closure. The Mayfield club is currently targeting a summer 2027 opening, subject to the necessary approvals.

The announcement comes as padel continues its rapid expansion across Manchester, with new courts and clubs appearing throughout the city and Greater Manchester as the racket sport attracts an increasingly broad following.

More details on the proposed Mayfield Park club are expected as the plans progress.
