Bringing together vibrant Indian musical traditions, expressive dance and the resonant voices of three choirs, the Bridgewater Hall stages an uplifting, joyful night of music, hope and togetherness with Diwali Lights on Mon 2 Nov.

Brimming with colour and creativity, the concert celebrates the enduring themes of Diwali and majestic spirit of India with a whirlwind programme of live music and performance. Led by artistic director and conductor Dr Rakesh Joshi, Raga Symphony shares the stage with dancers bringing stories from the Ramayan to life through movement and live accompaniment, while the Indian adult choir Bharatiya Vrund Gaan perform alongside SHIVA, the Indian youth choir, and the Hallé Youth Choir, whose combined voices bring a uniquely harmonious dimension to the festivities.

Blending choral music with orchestral sounds and traditional dance, the programme offers an opportunity to celebrate Diwali through a shared experience of artistry, storytelling and communal goodwill.

Whether continuing a cherished family tradition or experiencing the Festival of Lights for the first time, visitors can look forward to a welcoming evening that unites generations through music and dance with definitive warmth and optimism.
