Much-loved Manchester bakery Pollen celebrates its tenth anniversary with a special collaboration with Chef Tom Kerridge and a limited-edition nostalgia menu.

To mark the team’s decade milestone, Pollen’s Ben Metcalfe and Tom Kerridge have come together to develop a pastry version of the multi-Michelin starred chef’s signature Chocolate Ale cake. This arrives in both the OG (and newly refurbished) Ancoats Bakery and the Kampus garden-side location on Saturday.

That sits alongside a rotating menu of Pollen’s biggest and best creations from the last ten years. Available for three weeks from Sat 17 Oct, the nostalgia menu includes the team’s custard tart, chocolate hazelnut double bake, caramel tart, chocolate peanut cookie, chocolate gateaux, tiramisu cruffins and more.

There will also be a huge birthday cake, dished out to customers at the Ancoats bakery on Sat 17 Oct alongside viral balloon artist Gulligul, creating bakery themed balloons for guests to take home.

Hannah said of the last ten years of operating the bakery, together with her husband Chris: “It feels a long way to come, from selling loaves of Sourdough out of a railway arch behind Piccadilly Station to collaborating with Tom Kerridge. We’ve made it through a pandemic and a recession – the birth of our two children, two cafe openings and now a refurbishment. I’m so proud to be here celebrating 10 years with our brilliant team and customers who have gone from regulars to friends.”
