An atmospheric evening of medieval and traditional carols performed by candlelight comes to the stunning backdrop of Manchester Cathedral this December.

Happening on Fri 11 Dec, the show is brought to life by Elderwood, specialists in medieval, Renaissance, broadside ballad and historic folk. Perfect for traditional music newcomers and connoisseurs alike, the evening offers a warm, welcoming introduction to a sound world far older than the classical concert hall.

Medieval Carols by Candlelight features two voices alongside harp, fiddle and percussion. The folklore-inspired programme spans centuries-old carols and winter folk songs, promising to transport audiences back through time in intimate, magical surroundings.

Adding to the evening’s historical festivities, the bar will also be serving drinks from the Lancashire Mead Company.
