Manchester Folk Festival is gearing up for a landmark tenth edition in March 2027, with an eclectic line-up ranging from intimate gigs by acclaimed artists to spoon-carving workshops to a Friday night ceilidh at Hallé St Peter’s.

Taking place over four days, from 10 – 13 March 2027, the festival will spread across six venues and outdoor spaces. Events will take place at Band on the Wall, Hallé St Peter’s, Hallé at St Michael’s, The Smithfield Market Tavern, Cutting Room Square and Stoller Hall.

Artists announced so far include Spiers & Boden, Eliza Carthy & The Restitution, Leveret, Catrin Finch & Aoife Ní Bhriain (pictured below), Fionn Regan (pictured above), Pokey LaFarge, Olivia Chaney, Steve Knightley, Rewild: Kantos Chamber Choir x Stevens & Pound, Spencer Cullum, and Hollowhand & Erin Rae.

And it’s not just about live music. There’ll be an intriguing programme of hands-on workshops, including spoon carving, Sacred Harp singing, corn dolly making, a sound bath and drop-in sketch sessions.

A festival wristband will give you access to all the shows, as well as to an exclusive Jim Moray concert just for wristband holders. You’ll also be invited to the opening day celebrations with music across three stages at Stoller Hall.

Earlybird wristbands sold out in record time. Second-release wristbands are now on sale, with the next price increase due in late November, so secure yours now to get the best value. You can also buy individual concert tickets for headline shows.
