Manchester Marauders exhibition launch at 2022

Manchester photographer, DJ and podcaster Air Adam has been a well-known face in the Manchester hip hop scene for well over a decade, mostly with his camera at the ready but always as a fan. The Manchester Marauders exhibition is the culmination of an ongoing project and a love letter to the scene. Taking the idea of A Tribe Called Quest’s famous 1993 Midnight Marauders album cover, in which they paid homage to their peers and influences, Adam has assembled 49 Manc rappers, DJs and producers in a huge centrepiece to be revealed on the night. To launch the piece, the night will also see emcees and DJs featured in it performing live in a cypher, various photographs documenting hip hop events in Manchester and a short filmed piece about the exhibition.
