The North’s only LGBT cultural festival celebrates its tenth anniversary this autumn as it returns to Liverpool, jam packed with art, film and theatre events. Established in 2004, the organisation works to promote and produce art and culture for everyone with the aim to regenerate and unite communities. Running until the end of November, this year promises a blend of exclusive premieres, original commissions and both emerging and established names as part of the celebrations. Highlights include a gay icon portrait exhibition by Boy George (pictured), early works by David Hockney, charting the development of his style and subject matter during the 1960s and a world exclusive exploration of transgender history, featuring former Vogue model April Ashley, one of the first people to undergo gender reassignment surgery.
