Slint at Albert Hall

Several amazing performances came out of the Manchester International Festival back in July, but as well as Macbeth, Money and Mogwai there was also some fascinating venues used for the festival’s various events that truly took your breath away. One such venue as the Trof-rejuvenated Albert Hall, above the old Brannigans site. The Grade II listed Wesleyan chapel was lovingly resurrected by the people behind Gorilla and The Deaf Institute to create another unique venue for our city. It’s beautiful arena that bands seek out to play, and one such band are post-rock pioneers Slint, who play their first UK show since 2007 later this month. This show is a sure-fire tip to sell out, so we’ve gone and got ourselves a pair of tickets to give to you, because we’re nice like that. You can win a pair of tickets exclusively through Manchester Wire.
