Portico Library breaks the usual quiet policy on Wednesday 18 December as its annual Christmas Soiree returns for an indulgent evening of food and music. Swapping 19th Century novels for a songbook instead, Portico will be treating guests’ ears to light classics and festive songs, all performed in the grand surroundings of the Grade II-listed building. Beginning at 6.30pm, wind down and get in the spirit with a glass of mulled wine, then tuck into a tempting buffet dinner before the musical performance gets underway at 7.45pm.
