The haunted Ordsall Hall will host a double bill of two iconic horror films as part of Grimmfest this month. The first screening is of Jack Clayton’s British classic The Innocents (1961). Shot in black and white, this creepy and atmospheric film stars Deborah Kerr as a young governors who becomes convinced that the house and grounds are haunted. The second screening is the stylish, intelligent and creepy The Others (Alejandro Amenabar, 2001). Conceived as part of a homage to the first film, The Others stars Nicole Kidman as a mother of two photosensitive children who is convinced that her family home is haunted. The ticket for this unforgettable experience in the beautiful and atmospheric building also allows the audience to take an after-hours tour around the Grade I-listed Tudor mansion. Ordsall Hall is rumoured to be haunted by Margaret Radclyffem aka the White Lady, who has been sighted on numerous occasions. Only a handful of tickets are still available.
