There’s sure to be a bit of a buzz around Manchester Museum next week as the Museum’s resident beekeepers invite visitors to an informative one-hour session. While the city centre may not be the first place that springs to mind when it comes to keeping, such urban locations are becoming increasingly popular across the UK in order to keep the honey flowing. Giving insight into their efforts to keep the bees alive in a city environment, find out about the struggles of developing a colony on Manchester Museum’s roof and examine the specimen in their collection more closely in what should be an enlightening session.
