Naomi Kendrick’s Drawn to the Beat at Victoria Baths

Local artist Naomi Kendrick takes over Victoria Baths this month for her third instalment of participatory event, Drawn To The Beat. Promising to be the most ambitious one yet, the listening and drawing experience invites the audience to immerse themselves within a live art performance. Having previously taken over Band on the Wall, this time the grand surroundings of Victoria Baths take centre stage, with Naomi encouraging audience members to create an expressive drawing within one of the Grade II listed building’s empty swimming pools, in response to music. Featuring live acoustic performances and a silent disco, the event aims to create a visual representation of the physical and emotional experience of listening and responding to sound.
