Timothy Alexander is one of those names that you’ll have heard a fair bit. Having earned his stripes over the last 10 years ago as an in-demand post-rock and ambient musician, Timothy has more recently won recognition among the city’s dark electronic and techno community. His talent for beautiful and multi-layered ambient electronic composition complements his work as a rising producer of dancefloor-oriented music, with the usual 4-to-the- floor beat pattern replaced with more complex rhythms, often drawing on surprising samples and loops. This show is likely to be Alexander’s last in Manchester for some time, as he is relocating to Berlin. One to catch while you can.
