Starring Neighbours’ actress-turned-singer-turned-actress Natalie Imbruglia, Alan Ayckbourn’s Things We Do For Love made its West End debut in 1998. The play addresses the darker elements of lust; betrayal, domestic violence between two conflicting personalities and the inevitable fallout, albeit with an underlying humour. Imbruglia has won acclaim playing the needy wronged party, as have the supporting cast. Clair Price stands out in her role as Barbara, the spinster whose Fulham flat the play is set. Directed by Tony Award Nominated Laurence Boswell, who has worked with the likes of Matt Damon and Eddie Izzard completes the line up.
