Balearic institution Aficionado has outlived previous homes across the city from Kro2 to ArchBar, and is now settled at Electrik in Chorlton, where their Sunday sessions attract a crowd of devoted, bearded regulars. Long-lived Manchester tastemakers, Jason Boardman and Moonboots spin vinyl-only selections from Vangelis to Azymuth, but don’t be surprised to hear unexpected, sun-drenched gems from Wham or Chris Rea later on.
