The new series of Doctor Who arrives in August, and on the day the first episode airs, a lucky few will get the chance it on the big screen. Cornerhouse is showing the feature-length opener, followed by a live satellite Q&A with Peter Capaldi, the new Doctor. The episode, entitled ‘Deep Breath’, sees the Doctor and his companion Clara (Jenna Coleman) investigate sinister goings on in Victorian London. It was directed by Ben Wheatley (of Sightseers and A Field in England fame) and written by Steven Moffat (Sherlock, Jekyll). Before the screening, there will be five minutes of content exclusive to cinemas, while after the screening, along with the Q&A, there will be 10 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage. Tickets go on sale at 11am this Friday and we expect it to sell out in record time – so book as early as possible.
