This Texan post-rock band makes consistently epic instrumental tracks laden with guitar-effects; their dynamics rousing deep-rooted solemn and soulful emotions in the listener . Their debut EP ‘Young Mountain’ got re-released in 2006 and their production was dubbed “near perfect”. The band hasn’t been without their hindrances, with having to cancel a previous tour with 65daysofstatic due to financial problems and the parting of various band members but three years since their last studio release, the band are due their third album, ‘Another Language’, in September. Their latest single captures the essence of the band’s raw, ambient yet heavily distorted guitar work; a steady build up climaxing to a crescendo of noise. For their live show expect ripples of crushing, melancholic riffs and crashing cymbals; this one might make you cry.
