Day Trip: Vintage by the Sea in Morecambe

Following a successful jaunt last year, Vintage by the Sea Festival returns for a two-day multi-venue event in Morecambe. Set against Morecambe’s retro seafront, the festival features a glamorous blend of music, fashion, film, art, design and dance from Britain of the 1920s right through to the 1990s. Events on offer include workshops in letter press, cross-stitch and vintage advertising art, champagne afternoon tea, a vintage market and plenty of street food, classic cars and dance classes. The weekend also includes some sturdy nightlife as Saturday night recreates Manchester’s acid house era with Hacienda legends Mike Pickering and Dave Haslam, whilst Sunday night sees a finale Soul Casino, transporting you back to the sounds and atmosphere of the 70s soul club and 80s disco scenes.
