In attempting to emulate the diva-like tendencies of her heroine Beyonce, Luisa Omielan has seen life imitate art in the most wonderful way. The original Edinburgh Fringe show was a sell-out smash, leading to five hugely popular sell-out runs in the main house at Soho Theatre, as well as performances in Singapore, Toronto, New York, LA and an invitation to perform 10 nights at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. She has become one of the most popular new comedians on the UK scene thanks to her strict policy of living like Beyonce, except for the whole dancing and singing part. A wonderful new and original comic voice, Omielan takes over Sale’s Waterside with her infectious enthusiasm and candid view of a life that just needs a little Beyoncifying every once in a while. One for all the single ladies.
