Streetscapes photography exhibition at Number One First Street

Launching this Saturday at Number One First Street is a new photography exhibition called Streetscapes. All the images in the collection were taken in urban areas and highlight the people, buildings, art and environment that you find in cities and towns throughout the world. The photographs capture the challenges people face on a daily basis, as well as the cultural diversity and differing lifestyle choices. The collection features work from many different photographers, each with their own approach to the material. Claire Atkinson’s work gives a realistic, everyday perspective of the daily life of Manchester while Aaron Trice specialises in capturing the diverse neighbourhoods of Chicago, at night. Catherine Dipper takes a more technology-driven approach, creating digital transformations of her pictures. The exhibition runs until Wednesday 15 October.
