Tangled has to be not just one of the longest running and most prestigious clubnights in Manchester, but the whole UK. Run by the irreplaceable Steve Thorpe, over the years Tangled has been a meeting place of like minded hedonistic individuals and was most well known during its epic residency at the much-missed Phoenix club. For the best part of two decades, Tangled has presented a comprehensive list of international dance music superstars and more underground local legends. The ethos of Tangled has always been to stretch far beyond the music and create a community of club goers, to curate the kind of event where everyone arrives as strangers and leaves with friends for life.

Forging a loyal following and overwhelmingly positive vibe, partnered with the unrivalled lineups they’ve had over the years, is no doubt the reason the night has been so successful. This weekend Tangled celebrates 19 years in business, throwing what promises to be yet another memorable party in their new home, Sound Control. With the iconic Hernan Cattaneo (Pacha/ Renaissance), and the ‘godfather of breakbeat’ Rennie Pilgrem on the decks, plus Manchester techno party faves Micron coming out of retirement, this is going to be one hell of a night. Book Monday off work, people.
