The Lost Carnival is an innovative family theatre experience taking place in May, at Burrs Country Park, Bury. It’s hoped this large-scale event will entertain 15,000 people over four evenings. A big top will be host to a show featuring theatricality, circus acts, music, and visual trickery. The exact details haven’t been revealed yet, but that’s the fun of the fair, right? This is a multimedia experience, which includes a podcast series. In the coming months, families can use the podcast, which is in the form of a fictional radio documentary, to discover what secrets the carnival has to offer. The Lost Carnival is organised by Wild Rumpus, a social enterprise that specialises in outdoor entertainment events. The group organises the award-winning Just So Festival in Cheshire.
