There are many places to find a roast dinner in Chorlton, but few match up to the smorgasbord on offer at Oddest bar on Wilbraham Road. This is the spot to wind down and chill out on the day of rest. Fine wines are available by the glass, there is an excellent range of craft beers – and they’ve just introduced a new roast salads menu to lure in the pickiest of customers. Oddest’s standard roast line up includes a vegetarian option of the day as well as rolled pork cooked in organic cider, braised beef brisket and shoulder of Cheshire lamb. Sides include crispy roast potatoes, carrots roasted with local honey, a range of fresh greens and slow cooked red cabbage. The giant Yorkshire pudding is a house classic and the gravy is the real deal. The salad menu includes grilled halloumi with spiced squash and crispy pork belly salad with crackling, chorizo, celery, mixed leaves and a honey and mustard dressing. Lamb is a fresh combination of roasted shoulder, fennel, orange, mint, spinach, watercress and basil. With quirky furnishings and a neighbourhood vibe, the scene’s set for lunch in the sun.
