Last in town in October for a sold-out show at the RNCM, German musician and composer Nils Frahm returns this May – to the slightly more sizeable Albert Hall this time. Touring a show entitled ‘Nils Frahm has lost his mind’, it’s an intriguing proposition from a musician who is as equally comfortable playing the Barbican as he is performing at the Boiler Room, Dimensions and Primavera. Typically armed with Juno Synthesiser, Rhodes Piano and a drum machine, Frahm is a musical force to be reckoned with, counting modern classical composer/musicians Olafur Arnalds and Peter Broderick among his contemporaries. The grand splendour of Albert Hall should help add an extra dimension to the event – and with balcony seats already sold out, it’s worth acting quickly to secure tickets.
