Find 3D museums, cable car tours and world-class sports in Hong Kong

Published date: Fri 15 May 2015

We continue our coverage of Hong Kong with a look at some of the city’s star attractions. These include the Hong Kong 3D Museum, offering the chance to explore the city by way of 3D paintings, plus the similarly playful Trick Eye Museum, which uses optical illusions to display art in three dimensions. Dialogue in the Dark presents a sensory tour of Hong Kong without the gift of sight – with the 360 Lantau Sunset Tour (pictured), conversely, featuring stunning view of Ngong Ping Village and the Big Buddha – all from the unique perspective of a cable car. Meanwhile, Police Married Quarters – or PMQ – provides a different insight in to the city: dating back to 1889 and rebuilt in 1951 following severe damage in the Second World War, the former living quarters for Hong Kong’s police force is now a hub for its design and creative industries. For a more sporting angle, check out Hong Kong’s popular horse racing calendar, which runs from September to July – plus the thrilling Hong Kong Sevens rugby tournament, as well as its world-class Squash Open and Cricket Sixes. All this – and more – is waiting to be discovered all year round in Hong Kong. Check out Cathay Pacific, which flies non-stop from Manchester four times a week, with return fares starting from £649 in economy, £1,249 in Premium Economy and £3,339 in business class. Visit the website below for more information – plus enter here for a chance to win a trip for two to Hong Kong for three nights.
