Northern Quarter’s famous Odd Bar has just launched a new menu – and with 50% off food every Monday there’s no excuse not to pop in. The selection includes old favourites like gourmet fish and chips, steak frites, Superman salad and the house cheese burger, alongside new breakfast items and veggie burgers. Many ingredients are locally sourced. Meat, for example, comes from Frost’s butchers in Chorlton while fish is sustainable and eggs are free range. The price, however, remains pocket friendly. The burger selection has gone particularly wild and now includes the Odd Deluxe Deli Burger (comprised of an 8oz beef burger, pastrami, salami, turkey, Swiss cheese and extras on toasted brioche), as well as a Cajun grilled beef burger with blue stilton, Cheshire pork and chorizo burger, and a chargrilled chicken pesto burger. Veggies are in for a treat too. Look out for the spicy Moroccan Burger and, one for halloumi fans called, yes, Hallou-mi Hallou-you (grilled kebabs skewered with marinated halloumi, chargrilled peppers, veg, toasted khobez bread and all the trimmings). Odd is particularly famous for its breakfasts, which remain on the bestseller list.
