Bolton Food and Drink Festival ft John Torode, Slattery’s + more

The Bolton Food and Drink Festival begins on Friday and includes four days of culinary displays and special guests. John Torode from BBC’s MasterChef will be presiding over a cookery challenge which will see two of the region’s best chefs compete to create a Great Bolton Menu. Actress turned celebrity chef Lisa Faulkner is giving a demonstration which will also include afternoon tea in association with award-winning local patisserie, Slattery’s. CBeebies star Katy Ashworth will be entertaining the kiddies with live shows and story readings. Throughout the town centre there will be over 150 stalls, selling not just food and drink, but also crafts and locally-made artworks. There’s also be live music, street entertainment and festival fringe-style events.
