One of the highlights of this year’s Manchester Food & Drink Festival, the Bio-Historic Banquet features a six-course menu served under the giant whale skeleton at Manchester Museum. Robert Owen Brown (pictured) will be using ultra-local produce grown by the Biospheric Foundation for this special event, with the menu inspired by the museum’s collection – with diners hearing from curators between courses. Pre-dinner mojitos will include mint grown using aquaponic technology in the new Study Greenhouse, an on-site collaboration between the museum and the Biospheric Foundation. We’ve teamed up with the festival to offer one lucky reader two seats at the table. To enter, send the answer to the question below, plus your name, age, phone number and Twitter handle, in an email to competitions at manchesterwire dot co dot uk. Be sure to use the subject line ‘Bio-Historic Banquet competition’. We’ll pick a winner at 5pm on Thursday 10 September, and contact them by email.
