TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp has found the perfect Location, Location, Location to host an emporium of creativity in the build-up to Christmas. Packed with more than 200 artisan stalls and craft merchants, The Handmade Christmas Fair includes skills and making showcases alongside all the ingredients you need for a crafty Christmas. Each day of the event is crammed with demos by the country’s leading craftspeople, plying their wares across sewing (Great British Sewing Bee’s Deborah Simms), gift wrapping (Jane Means), cheese making (Corrie’s Sean Wilson), cheffing (Michelin-starred cook, James Mackenzie from Beverley’s Pipe and Glass), not forgetting Kirstie herself who will be hosting a Christmas Cocktail special. Tickets include three sessions across the event’s various arenas. So whether you’re new to a skill like knitting or cocktail shaking or already accomplished, there’s plenty to please. Furthermore, with each session coming in at 25 minutes to an hour, and all materials provided, you might be able to tick a couple of Christmas presents off your list on the day. We’ve teamed up with the Handmade Christmas Fair to offer a competition to win one of 10 pairs of tickets for entry to the weekend. To be in with a chance of winning, send an email to competitions [at] manchesterwire [dot] co [dot] uk with the subject line ‘Handmade Christmas Fair competition’. Be sure to include your name, age, phone number and Twitter handle. The competition closes at midnight on Sunday 8 November, and we’ll notify the winners by email and Twitter.
This competition is now closed.
