When you’ve got a label (Lost Map) who will send a hand-written letter to the likes of the Guardian to personally promote your EP, you know you’re on the right lines. Tuff Love are Julie Eisenstein (guitar, vocals) and Suse Bear (bass, vocals) – plus live drummer Iain Stewart – who are sending their sun-drenched pop songs all the way from Glasgow. With fierce guitar riffs but vocals that have the timidness reserved for teenage years, their tracks are a wonderful combination of fuzz, grunge and heavily danceable-to melodies. Catch the band at this intimate venue while you can, they’ve got big plans coming up.
