No rest for the wicked awesome either as XS Malarkey kick 2016 right in the teeth from the off with a preview show of jokecraft hero Gary Delaney’s new touring show. As if that wasn’t enough they also have a support appearance from Ciamh McDonnell, a headliner by any other name usually. You can always trust XS to have top line ups but this is an extra special way to begin the new year.

Taking the no nonsense approach to show titles that has served the straight talking Yorkshireman so well, Alun Cochrane brings his Edinburgh show ‘A Show with a Man in It’ to The Lowry for a two night stint. With rave reviews from The Guardian and comedy website Chortle, Cochrane is often heard on BBC Radio 4, and often seen on shows such as Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Have I Got News For You, as solid a comedy CV as you’ll see this year.
