Talking Heads co-founder David Byrne returns to Manchester to discuss his new book, How Music Works, with DJ and journalist Dave Haslam and digital music commentator Mark Mulligan. The event, at the Royal Northern College of Music, will explore ‘the joy and the business of making music’, and the influence of time and place on music. Subtitled ‘Does Music Matter Less In the Current Era?’, the talk is a rare chance to hear Byrne, the Scottish-born Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, in conversation. Pre-signed copies of his book will also be available to buy on the night.
