Ahead of their show at Mancheter Academy (see preview), electronic pop band Hot Chip will be special guest DJs at Oxfam Emporium on Oldham Street on Saturday afternoon. Their set, between 1pm and 3pm, is part of Oxjam Music Festival, which kicked off earlier this week. The five-piece will be playing and recommending records from the shop’s shelves, and will also be donating vinyl from their own collections. The annual Oxjam event features more than 800 venues, 9,000 volunteers, 7,000 musicians and 150,000 audience members, with proceeds going to the charity.
