If you thought it was game over after last year’s PLAY it! Manchester run, you’ve just been granted an extra life for its return to MSI in time for the Easter break. Plugging in its cartridges of reminiscence and graphics of a bygone era, the hugely successful video gaming exhibition and playing experience assembles decades’ worth of consoles to sample. Be it a trip down memory lane or a chance to see what games your parents once played, the daytime programme is family-friendly (recommended for age 5+), while there are opportunities for 18+ gaming on two Friday evenings (1 and Fri 8 Apr). Sessions are timed at 90 minutes each, during which time you can dabble in d-pads, Dreamcasts and 3D to your heart’s delight.
Fri 25 Mar – Sun 17 Apr, Museum of Science and Industry, Liverpool Road, Manchester, M3 4FP. Tel: 0161 832 2244, from 10.15am daily, £4 per session, offers for multiple sessions or groups, www.msimanchester.org.uk
