Film: This Is Not a Cartoon animation showcase at HOME Manchester

This Saturday, HOME is hosting ‘This Is Not a Cartoon’, which – somewhat counterintuitively – is a showcase of animated short films. Aimed at the over 18s, the programme features an eclectic mix of eight movies, both dramas and comedies, all of which were favourites on the international festival circuit. Somewhere Down the Line is a look at a man’s loves and losses as seen through exchanges he has with the passengers in his car. Cookie-tin Banjo is a music video to song about a boy and his first musical instrument. In The Air Is Christopher Gray will be followed by a Q+A session with the director, the BAFTA-nominated Felix Massie.
