Fans of Manchester’s blossoming independent market scene will have been counting down the days until the Makers Market’s monthly takeover of the Northern Quarter’s Stevenson Square. For those who are new to the scene, Stevenson Square from Fred Aldous to Eastern Bloc is transformed into a hip and vibrant scene packed with crafts, food, music and more. Obviously you can graze your way around the Square, where menu highlights include Turkish-English crossover cuisine by Stomping Ground, What’s Your Beef’s burgers, Somtam Street’s Thai recipes and the Foodamentalists’ gluten and wheat-free delights. With a full belly, explore Oxey-Daisy’s contemporary horticulture, as well as an array of arts, homeware, crafts, and even ethical taxidermy – all to the tunes of Northern Quarter legend, DJ Pasta Paul.
