Manchester city centre’s finest craft and food market, the Makers Market, returns this weekend, transforming Spinningfields into a hub of creative creations, vintage finds, bath bombs from Signature Soaps, street food, craft ale and Manchester’s only bean-to-bar chocolate maker Dormouse Chocolates. As well as offering on the spot watch evaluations from R and S Watches, the vintage area is particularly strong at this two-day celebration of all things tasty, bright and beautiful. Vendors include ethical makers Yorkshire Blankets and curiosity collectors, Just Vintage What Not. There’s plenty of food to take home too, including Ian Treat’s brownies and Cheese is Grate’s gourmet selection while All About Pie is as pie-focused as you’d expect and includes both Cumbrian Pigs Growler and vegetarian Homity pies. Grab a burger from What’s Your Beef?, perfect with a beer from craft beer experts Brothers of Beer. Meanwhile those into visual aesthetics will enjoy ethical taxidermy from Dead Thing By Kate and photography and sculpture galore. With DJ Pasta Paul making a rare appearance outside the Northern Quarter, time is likely to fly. So, if all that browsing takes its toll on your feet, kick back and relax at the end of the day with an organic, vegan and cruelty free coffee body scrub from one of our favourite stall holders, Maison Meunier.
