So far in 2016 Manchester-based comedy promoters Perfect Strangers have been spoiling us with some of the most exciting comedians from the other side of the Atlantic. First up at the turn of the year they had the rambling whimsy of Kyle Kinane, followed in February by the jazz like meanderings of Nick Thune, but in Todd Barry they have secured one of the heavyweights of world comedy. Revered by everyone from Louis CK to Jerry Seinfeld, Barry is a comedian’s comedian and so much more besides. Here he brings his Crowd Work tour to the UK for the first time where he essentially riffs on who is in the room at any given performance. Always going for the odd choice, no two shows are alike (check out the live show-cum-documentary of the same name on Netflix to get a taste) but every one a delight as the dead pan Barry tears an audience to shreds with the greatest affection. A comedy original that is sure to sell out, get your tickets whilst you can.
