What began as a promotions outfit in Leeds by one half of ambient experimental group worriedaboutsatan, who invited guests such as Olafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm and Maybeshewill; This Is It Forever entered a period of hiatus until 2011, when its headquarters relocated to Manchester and became a label. Though there are no genre restrictions, previous guests have set a precedent and releases on the label embrace the delicate sounds of drones, ambient instrumentals and electronics. Next month they have a label showcase at the intimate Castle Hotel with worriedaboutsatan, Sunset Graves and Thomas Ragsdale; a performance whose permeating energy will surely encase the venue in a transcendental bubble.
Tue 9 Aug, The Castle Hotel, 66 Oldham St, Manchester M4 1LE, 8 – 10.45pm, £3/£5 OTD, www.wegottickets.com
