Beth Orton at Manchester Cathedral

Owing to her unique and beguiling voice, Beth Orton has had a string of critically acclaimed albums that earned her a Brit Award for the best British Female following her 1999 record Central Reservation. Seventeen years later, Orton is going back to her roots and the product is arguably her most career-defining yet. Released on Anti Records, Kidsticks doesn’t sound typical of Orton’s work and sees her embrace electronic sounds with the help of co-producer Andrew Hung (Fuck Buttons). Watch her perform this playful album at the magnificent Manchester Cathedral in October.
