Last Chance to Catch Z-Arts Summer Programme
One of our Top 3 Free things to do with kids this Summer, the programme at Hulme arts centre Z-Arts draws to a close this Wednesday. Rosey PM at Fallow Café
Hot on the heels of the release of her new EP, Rosey PM is performing at this free gig in Fallowfield. She’ll be supported by her backing group The Dream Babies, with Gorgeous Bully, The Fentonville Street Band and a mystery guest filling out the bill. This gig’s promoted by local kids The Family Tree, who’ll also be DJing on the night along with Sheffield’s Blancmange Lounge DJs and Manc band Bleached.

Start of Festejar Spanish Festival
Festejar – a festival celebrating Spanish and Latino food, music and culture – starts up this Thursday. As well as ticketed events, there’s plenty of free stuff on opening night including a Spanish market and a performance from flamenco guitarists The Andalus Band. Vasilis Asimakopoulos Preview at Castlefield Gallery (pictured)
This new exhibition at Castlefield Gallery opens at the weekend, but you can catch a preview on thursday night. It’s called Norwegian Concrete and features the work of Greek sculptor Vasilis Asimakopoulos. This is the first part of the gallery’s annual Head to Head exhibitions, where work from two artists is presented back-to-back, the second part of which will be coming in October and featuring Danish artist Christian Falsnaes.
